 THE POOL IS COOL
My new favourite place
MY CF season is now over and the off-season activities have begun. We had two of the hottest days of the year this past weekend and what better way to enjoy them then a bike ride a swim. To prep for the activities I had to take "Dino" in for a tune up on Friday night. Dino is my fancy Divinci road bike, suitably named because he is a fast/smooth Italian. Unfortunately, “Fern” did not get off so lucky. I have to retire Fern this year because I left her outside all winter. My bad!! Fern is (was) a green Kona Fire Mountain, and appropriately named because she is (was) green. Sorry for not treating you very nice Fern. RIP. Anyway, Dino is now tuned and ready to roll (fast!). Saturday morning I hung out in the Hound Pound while Jefff did his wod. I did a few pull ups and OHS, but my heart just wasn’t into it. Then we hit the payment on the bikes and went to the outdoor pool for public lane swim. It was awesome and not very busy at all. It was pretty much me, Jeff and a bunch of senior citizens. Do young people not swim anymore? They should! I had such a great time and fun workout, that I will do the same for every weekend from now until the weather drops below 20 degrees. I did the same on Sunday, except Jefff stayed back to pound one out at the HP. Must have been a good one, cause he had a spectator that took a break from bottle colleting in the alley to watch him bust out his C&J’s and pull-ups. I’m going to look into selling tickets to watch Jefff wod. The proceeds would fund the HP expansion. I really think the Hound Pound needs to invest in a pool and incorporate swimming into the regular training. Again, anyone that wants to donate to the pool fund or watch Jefff wod for a small fee can send me an email. We also need to get Jefff and the hounds into swimming lessons before the summer is over. Safety is always first at the Hound Pound.

Pound!! sHELLy.
