GAME DAY
Well, the day I’ve been dreading for months is now here - day 1 of the CrossFit Games. Wod # 1: What could it be? I will learn my fate in less than 7 hours. I feel like I’m going to war. The week leading up to this day was mostly preparation. The weekend/early week wods felt okay, however I can’t think of what they were right now. We arrived safe and sound in LA and are staying in the most bizarre mansion with 12 of our good CrossFit friends. We have the “Liberachi” suite overlooking the ocean, but others did not get off so fortunate. One room has a bed for “little people”, one room is hot pink and lime green with fun fur everything. I mean everything. There is “hunters” room that’s like sleeping inside a barrel, we have a grown man sleeping in a babies room on a day bed with a canopy, and then there’s strange little room in the basement next to a deer head and the wine cellar full of porn on VHS. Very strange accommodation, but being here with friends - especially CrossFitting friends makes all the better. I'll make sure to post some pictures, cause words don’t do it justice. I’m home alone in the mansion today, trying to fuel and rest my body for the unknown, while the others battle it out in the team competition. I might send LTP a text to hit up the Lulu we’ve been hearing good things about. The waiting is driving me crazy! That’s all I’ve got right now. I’ll try to send another update before the weekend is over, but no guarantees. I also want to thank all the friends and family of the Hound Pound for their support, gifts, and kind words of support - you know who you are. Thank you!
Let the games begin.
