SO LONG, LONG WEEKEND...
Another long weekend has come and gone. Where did it go? Wodding! And food (shopping for, cooking and eating). Can’t wait for the Games to be over and get my weekends back. Friday night was hill sprints at the curling club. Hounds came out for this one. Pretty stoked to wear my bonne-visor for these (don’t ask, you’ll see soon enough). The reward for completing the hill sprints was BBQ steak, yams and asparagus. Yummy! (See, wodding and eating). Saturday the recipe called for a triple wod! 1)back squats; 2)Nancy with rest between each round; 3)Push Jerks and pull-ups (some heavy PJ’s – 5 @ 135! ). LTP and I did the first two wods in the morning with local dawgs at CFC, and then we went on a shopping break before hitting wod three. Best shopping trip ever! We went to LuLu to see what was new and ended up with FREE outfits!! Why? Because we are “CrossFit Girls” and going to the Games. So awesome!! This makes having to compete at the Games almost worth it! Love my new outfit! Thank you LuLu! I think this also made the 135lb jerks not feel so heavy. (Also, thanks to Jefff to for making me do them). Saturday night was another BBQ – again the day was wodding and eating! Sunday was a little tamer. The HP athletes all came out for a fun morning wod at the Hound Pound consisting of bench press, weighted chin ups, KBS & GHD sit-ups. Jeff and LTP tricked me by putting 20lbs more on the bar before I started my 3 reps on the bench press. This actually ended up being 10 pound more than my PB. Crazy! Would have never of lifted it if I knew what it was. Thanks guys! Sunday night was another great meal, and a movie. I’ve been obsessed (actually more intrigued) with Mt. Everest these days, so I talked Jefff into renting a really budget movie about a group of climbers trying to reach the summit. I think we both enjoyed it? Bye weekend!
